The colors are not even close on this one - the sun was actually a dark purple/crimson, but I thought the end result was still a cool photo.

It's been exactly 10 days since I last posted! Tsk, tsk, tsk. Unfortunately, my place of work has blocked the Blogger domain so posting from work is no longer an option.

Going forward, I will try and post several photos over each weekend and hope to get some traveling done as well to offer up some pictures from different locales.

The little camera definitely has trouble with bright sunlight and the contrast between sky and objects and sky and clouds.


This fountain picture gives us a clue about the slower shutter speed in use... I'm not sure if this can be changed through the settings or not. I'll have to come back to this for some experimentation.

"Chippy"

This little guy lives under our patio and often dines on spilled birdseed. This particular shot was taken at a lower resolution which allowed me to use the built-in digital zoom. Not too bad, but I think I prefer the full resolution/crop approach.
