The colors are not even close on this one - the sun was actually a dark purple/crimson, but I thought the end result was still a cool photo.

It's been exactly 10 days since I last posted! Tsk, tsk, tsk. Unfortunately, my place of work has blocked the Blogger domain so posting from work is no longer an option.

Going forward, I will try and post several photos over each weekend and hope to get some traveling done as well to offer up some pictures from different locales.

Total Relaxation

The little camera definitely has trouble with bright sunlight and the contrast between sky and objects and sky and clouds.


This fountain picture gives us a clue about the slower shutter speed in use... I'm not sure if this can be changed through the settings or not. I'll have to come back to this for some experimentation.

"Chippy"

This little guy lives under our patio and often dines on spilled birdseed. This particular shot was taken at a lower resolution which allowed me to use the built-in digital zoom. Not too bad, but I think I prefer the full resolution/crop approach.

Flowery Lights

The sun definitely plays a factor with this little camera and how it is able to handle color. The white balance settings are quite good, but not up to SLR standards as one would expect.

Grass

Not sure if this is true Prairie Grass, but it is grass. :-)

I'm a Helion!

I finally received my new Drift and have been learning the ins and outs of the phone, the software, and functionality. Below are a couple of first pictures - as you can see not perfect, nor of professional quality. But, give me time and I can almost promise some improvement.

We Have Tracking

Received my tracking number by email late last night. We should be up and running on Monday!

Application Confirmed

I'm pleased to report that my Helio Drift application has been confirmed. Just waiting for the tracking number and we'll soon be in business!

Helio Update

I am still awaiting confirmation of my new Helio contract and shipment of my white Drift. Photos will be forthcoming once I receive my new phone and officially become a Helion. Cheers!
